As you research the internet you will find that starting in 1999 the CEO of General Motors, and their Board of Directors,
HAD to know that they had a "class" of engines with a defective piston slap problem.
Not only did hunreds of consumers contact GM with Complaints, but a very substantial number of lawsuits were filed against
GM, and GM issued a number of Service Bulletins about the many "problems" with their products.
What is substantial is that General Motors at first returned money to the victims, and then set a "Policy of Fraud"
having mechanics at their dealerships lie to consumers, saying the "problems" were normal, and agressively using
attorneys to steal from consumers with defective GM Products.
Meanwhile, General Motors engagued in an interstate scheme to fraudulently advertise by Newspapers, Magazines,
Television, and Radio with ads completely silent about their known product problems, while fraudulently misrepresenting their
products as being good, dependable, products, and strongly implying that they were without defects.
This interstate fraudulent advertising to promote a Criminal Scheme to rip off consumers with defective products is a
Federal Crime. It violates Title 18 Section 1343.
The United States Department of Justice is starting to go after these powerful corporate criminals. They are going after
Enron. They prosecuted Jack Abramoff who owns most of the Republican Party.
And we can get the CEO and Board of Directors of GM put in Federal Prison too.
